Warranty Policy
Rich Vista Opticians — Eyewear Warranty
At Rich Vista Opticians, we stand behind the quality of every frame and lens we sell. This warranty outlines your coverage and how to make a claim.
Frame Warranty
All frames are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase. This includes:
- Defective hinges, screws, or joints
- Coating delamination or peeling under normal use
- Structural failures not caused by misuse
Lens Warranty
Lenses (including ZEISS and other premium optics) are covered for 2 years while District Vision RX shields are covered for 1 year from the purchase date against:
- Anti-reflective coating failure or crazing
- Delamination of lens coatings
- Manufacturing defects in prescription accuracy (verified by our opticians)
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage, drops, or impact
- Scratches from improper cleaning or storage
- Normal wear and tear (nose pad wear, temple flex, minor surface marks)
- Damage caused by exposure to extreme heat, chemicals, or solvents
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Loss or theft
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please contact us or visit us in store with:
- Proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
- A description of the defect
- Photos of the issue (for online claims)
We will assess the claim and, at our discretion, offer a repair, replacement, or store credit.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the product. Rich Vista Opticians is not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by province or territory under Canadian consumer protection law.
